Studio Units: The newest addition to the hotel's accommodation are nine very comfortable motel units. The units each have their own bathroom, phone, TV and kitchen area.
Traditional Hotel Rooms: Upstairs at the hotel are the very popular hotel rooms. The rooms are all in the theme of the traditional NZ hotel.

Situated in the middle of Halfmoon Bay, just a stones throw from the beach, the hotel is an ideal base for your Stewart Island holiday. The staff can advise you on local attractions and activities and help you with your booking.
When you arrive onto the island, either by ferry or plane, the hotel is only a 3 minute walk away.

Getting to Stewart Island: The Foveaux Express catamaran runs a regular service from Bluff to the island, with morning and afternoon crossings. The trip takes about an hour, disembarking at the Halfmoon Bay wharf. Look out for Albatross and Sooty Shearwater while sailing, they are often seen from the deck, especially if there is a fishing boat near by.
Stewart Island Flights: Operate out of Invercargill with several planes a day. On average the trip takes about 20 minutes. Flying over Paterson Inlet before landing, gives you a sneak preview of the beaches and numerous islands. The view from the plane is pretty spectacular, giving you an idea of the huge scale of the island.
