Monaco also boasts its own craftsman jeweller opening in July 2008 and onsite hairdressing salon opening November 2008.

 

Grand Mercure Nelson Monaco can accommodate up to 280 guests, with 20 hotel rooms, 42 one-bedroom cottages and 38 two-bedroom cottages. It is also the ideal venue for conferences and special events, with purpose-built facilities for up to 150 people.

  • One or two bedrooms, beautifully appointed with bedside cabinets, lamps, suitcase racks and hanging space.
  • A country–style kitchen with gas hob, oven, dish drawer, refrigerator and washing machine.
  • A living room with open beamed ceiling, lounge room, TV, DVD player, CD player, dining room, writing desk, sideboard and open gas fire.
  • A fully tiled bathroom with either a double shower or a bath, ceramic toilet, bidet and handbasin.

Dining and Relaxing

Our onsite restaurant, The Orangerie, opened in March 2007 and is attracting much acclaim. It is an exceptional restaurant featuring contemporary New Zealand cuisine with a French accent. Within months of opening, The Orangerie’s quality was recognised when it secured the 2007 HANZ Best Beef Award.
 
Ideally situated next to the hotel and seating up to 50 people, the restaurant has stunning panoramic views across the Waimea Inlet to the mountain ranges of the Kahurangi National Park. The gorgeous courtyard with French style café chairs and marble topped tables provide a delightful outside dining area, seating up to a further 60 people.
