Matakauri Lodge Rooms
The 6 Villas and 4 Suites at Matakauri Lodge feature a combination of spacious lounges with comfortable sofas and chairs, king size beds, fireplaces and extra large bathrooms which are luxuriously fitted with two person baths,twin vanities and showers, tiled under–floor heating
Each Villa and Suite has its own private garden terrace that looks out to mountain and lake views and each is complete with every modern convenience, including satellite television with teletext, high speed internet connection, CD player, hair dryer, bar, fridge, and tea and coffee making facilities.
Matakauri Lodge Location
From Queenstown airport follow the main road into downtown Queenstown, you will automatically drive onto Shotover street in the CBD, continue straight thru two round abouts you will be on Lake Esplanade with the Lake on your left continue West past all the motels and Rydges hotel on the right, pass the next round about with the lake on your left from here 7klm to the lodge, look for Moke lake turnoff on the right, look for Matakauri Lodge sign next on left, 300m.

Here at Matakauri we do our utmost to source the freshest local and where possible organic produce. My chefs and I prepare as much of our own product here at Matakauri from bread,pasta, ice cream and petit fours.
Our dinner menu changes daily we create a choice of entree, main course, and dessert, we invite you to advise us of any dietary requirements or preferences you might have.
Central Otago has been producing award winning wines for a number of years now, namely Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, we have introduced a larger selection of these to our wine list for the coming summer along with a selection from other great wine growing areas of New Zealand.
We can arrange visits to some of the areas boutique vineyards for people interested in viticulture and in speaking with the winemaker or if you prefer simply sampling the product over lunch.
