Onetangi is renowned for its 1.6 kms of fine, white sandy beach. Its north facing aspect hosts spectacular views of Coromandel Peninsula and Little Barrier Island. Onetangi is at the eastern end of residential Waiheke, making it a quiet place to relax.
Onetangi beach is popular for ocean enthusiasts in particular; swimming, sea kayaking, fishing, surfing, sailing, water skiing. For those who prefer land based activities the forest and bird reserve is home to an abundance of native bird and plant species and is great for walking.
