Caboose Lodge Location

Your authentic rail journey aboard the Caboose will start as soon as you arrive in Taupo. Being centrally located in the central plateau of the North island Taupo is easily accessed by road or air. Lake Taupo is the year round destination for visitors wanting to experience the magnificent natural attractions and activities the region has on offer.

The Caboose Lodge & Conference Centre is centrally located too. Easy to find and just a short stroll from the heart of the Lake Taupo business centre. New Zealand's largest solid log structure has pride of place on Taupo's lakefront. You certainly won't miss it, after all, that's the Caboose where discerning travellers and conference organisers start their Taupo journey of adventure.

Located on the ground floor are the Indaba and Warthog Hollow Rooms, and on the first floor is the Tusker Room, these rooms excel for conferences and private functions. The lake and mountains are clearly visible and of course that means for copious amounts of natural light.

Theatre style, the Indaba Room can easily seat up to 80 delegates, and the Tusker Room can seat 40 delegates. As a breakout facility or executive meeting room the Warthog Hollow can seat up to 12 delegates boardroom style. Rooms are complete with pads, pens, mints and refreshing iced water.
