About Bay of Islands Resort

The Bay of Islands Resort is located 1.8kms from the centre of Paihia, set in a quiet residential cul–de–sac in park like grounds. The majority of our units are free standing cottages to create a quiet peaceful environment.

The property is only a two-minute walk away from Te Haumi Bay Beach, which is safe for family swimming and sunbathing. The town centre is a comfortable 15-minute walk around the waterfront, or 20-minutes over the hill. We also have extensive parking across site.

The property features a swimming pool for the enjoyment of our guests, a fully licensed seasonal restaurant, a booking office for the local tourist attractions, guest laundry and bar-b-que equipment for those late summer evenings in the "Winterless Far North". All our rooms offer service on a three daily basis, ask us how it works.

For some people this may be a source of frustration, that there is a policy for no pets. However this may be changed once we have established further grounding.

Our check-in time is 2.00pm on the day of arrival and check-out is at 10.00am on the morning of departure. Office hours: 8.00am till 6.00pm. Late Check after 6pm will incur a $20.00 Late Checkin Fee.

Studio Apartment - Our elevated Studio units all have a view of the water, bush, the play ground/pool, tidal inlet or surrounding district. A balcony runs the full length with the occasional table & chairs to enjoy the morning sunrise or sunset. Each studio has a full Queen Size bed & en suite bathroom. Some have sofa beds if you are bring the little one along. All have table & chairs. A compact limited facility kitchen comes with; toaster, tea & coffee making facilities, fridge & microwave. There is freeview television, wireless Internet (WiFi $10.00 per 24 hours) & radio alarm clock to wake you if needed.

One Bedroom Apartment - Our elevated 1-Bedroom Apartment has a balcony with occasional table & chairs to enjoy the morning sunrise and sunset. Each Apartment has a Queen size bed & en suite bathroom. Some have sofa beds if you are bringing the little one along. All have table & chairs. A compact limited facilities kitchen comes with; toaster, tea & coffee making facilities, fridge & microwave. There is freeview television, wireless Internet (WiFi $10.00 per 24 hours) & radio alarm clock to wake you if needed. All our units are Non-smoking. The rate is for 2 people. Maximum occupancy is 4, with an extra guest charge of $35 per person.

One Bedroom Freestanding Cottage - Our 1-bedroom cottages were designed with the small family in mind. They are available in a number of different bedding configurations, but a typical unit will have a Queen-sized bed in the bedroom, and a single bed, either in the bedroom or living area. In the living area there will be a sofa that will convert into an extra bed if required. In the kitchen, you will find an oven, fridge microwave. All the essential cooking utensils are on hand for a family meal or snack. Most have baths in the bathroom. We have wireless Internet (WiFi $10.00 per 24 hours), freeview television and radio alarm clocks if you need to be woken for that early morning local tour. The rate is for 2 people. Maximum occupancy is 4, with an extra guest charge of $35 per person

Two Bedroom Freestanding Cottage - The 2-bedroom cottages were designed with a growing family in mind. They have a number of different bedding configurations, but a typical unit will have a Queen-sized bed in the master bedroom, 1 single bed and a bunk bed in the second bedroom, plus 1 or 2 foldout sofa beds in the open plan living area. In the kitchen area, you will find a freestanding cook top and oven, fridge & microwave. All the essential cooking utensils are on hand for a family meal or snack. The rate is for 4 people. Maximum occupancy is 6, with an extra guest charge of $35 per person. We have wireless Internet (WiFi $10.00 per 24 hours), freeview television and radio alarm clocks if you need to be woken for that early morning local tour.

Two Bedroom Apartment - 

Two of our two 2-bedroom Apartments were designed with 2 couples in mind. Both have spa baths and each bedroom has a Queen sized bed. The other 2 apartments cater for your growing family. The living and dining area is open plan, suitable for entertaining or simply enjoying a quiet drink after a relaxing day. The kitchen area has a cooking top, fridge & microwave. All the essential cooking utensils are on hand for a family meal or snack. The rate is for 4 people. Maximum occupancy is 6, with an extra guest charge of $35 per person. We have wireless Internet (WiFi $10.00 per 24 hours), freeview television and radio alarm clocks if you need to be woken for that early morning local tour.
